Shahrukh, Deepika a la modern Raj-Simran?
The shooting of Rohit Shetty's much talked film 'Chennai Express' is going on full swing.
Currently the film's team is shooting in Goa, which involves lead cast Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone
in a train sequence. And going by the sources' gossip, the scene turns
out to be another version of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's train scene.
Like the famous Raj and Simran's train-catching sequence, here too the team shot a scene where SRK, instead of Kajol, helps Deepika to get into the moving train.
However sources from the unit clarified that although
there is a resemblance, it's not an attempt to recreate the popular
scene. "This happens to be an important part of the sequence of events,"
added the sources.
According to sources, the shooting took place in
Vasco station and it was transformed to Kalyan Station. Deepika looked
like a typical south-Indian girl - wearing half saree and two plaits.
Hmmm, Shahrukh and Deepika might try to reprise the
iconic characters of Raj and Simran, but couldn't replace the classic
romantic magic created by the 'DDLJ' scene... Right, folks?
'Chennai Express' is about a man who is on a journey
from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and in the course of the movie meets with a
south Indian girl. The film is expected to be a Diwali 2013 release.
